Project Controlling provides financial overview

It is not always easy to keep track of the financial, commercial and technical aspects of an order. How much has already been invoiced? Are the costs of an order currently within the set framework? Was the order ultimately worthwhile? We have launched a Project Controlling module that allows to keep track of costs, sales and profits of an order at all times.

To use the Project Controlling module, 3E-LOOK Version 15 is required. As data from Customer Management, Materials Management and Post Calculation are transferred to Project Controlling, window manufacturers should also use these modules.

A solid database for insightful results

What information is transferred to Project Controlling? Typically, all the data from the areas already mentioned that is needed to determine costs and profitability. Some of this data is transferred automatically and can be assigned directly to a job or project. It is also possible to assign the data according to certain characteristics, such as customer, property, item or location, or, in certain cases, to profit centers, departments, cost centers or projects.

The data transferred includes sales postings in the Customers & Orders module, employee and machine time postings in the Post Calculation module, and material movements in the Materials Management module, such as transfers, write-offs and consumption, as well as incoming invoices and price differences. A link to the original postings in the outgoing modules makes it possible to call up data details. The data can be transferred to financial accounting via Project Controlling at any time and can be evaluated using dashboards. This makes it easy to maintain a financial overview of a job.

With Project Controlling, we provide window manufacturers with an effective tool that allows them to check the progress and profitability of an order at any time. The module also helps to identify where costs are incurred, gain important experience and derive optimization measures. Last but not least, Project Controlling is also a suitable means to meet country-specific legal requirements.
