"Companies must be able to react flexibly"
Moritz Ebert, CEO of 3E Datentechnik, comments on future prospects, challenges and success factors in the window industry on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the German trade journal GW.
Most important decision or development
One of the most important decisions at 3E Datentechnik in recent years was certainly the decision to offer more online services. These are faster, more efficient, more customer-oriented and also easier for us because they eliminate travel times, saving time and money. Online services include not only services such as consulting and project management, but increasingly further training courses as well.
Future prospects
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate my optimism at 9. The need for end-to-end, i.e. efficient digitalization is high and will continue to grow. Our expertise is in demand, we have rejuvenated and strengthened our team and this will continue to have a positive impact in the coming years.
The challenges
I think the industry is increasingly confronted with two challenges: The shortage of skilled workers, which is also affecting us. Secondly, inflation, which makes the product more expensive and reduces customers' purchasing power at the same time. Here, too, the answer lies in efficient digitalization.
Success factors
Our times are characterized by many uncertainties and companies have to react highly flexibly to circumstances that are difficult to predict. I would therefore put flexibility first. Another factor for me is the ability to adapt well to customer needs with advanced products and innovative services.
